An interactive dance performance about the physical sensation of rioting.
A high school class takes a course in nonviolent communication. This is rudely disrupted by the D.V.P.B.G (detection team of potentially wanton behavior). In fact, a threat has been detected. What follows: a series of tests and games conducted by the students to look for the biggest troublemakers.
For the costume design, it was important to make the detection team uniform and impersonal. I chose the colors gray and black to contrast the team with the colorful environment of a gym. A certain realism and recognizability of an ME team was also important to make the story as believable as possible. By covering as much bare skin as possible, stripping off the uniform toward the end of the performance had a great impact.
