Het Huis Utrecht - 2021
installation
A large mechanical primordial animal emerges from a deep sleep, slowly stretches its legs and begins to spin. Narrow beams of light transform the space, and as a visitor you are challenged to relate to the spinning driving motion.
I developed this installation from a study of the mobile. The result is an imposing moving object that could be a cross between a giraffe, lighthouse and a water pipe.
